How to fix a paper jam

A paper jam occurs when sheets of paper become stuck or lodged inside a printer or copier, preventing the device from feeding or processing paper correctly. This can happen due to various reasons, such as using the wrong type or size of paper, overloading the paper tray, or feeding multiple sheets at once. When a paper jam occurs, the printer typically displays an error message indicating the issue. Clearing a paper jam involves safely removing the stuck paper from the printer's internal mechanisms to restore normal operation.

If a paper jam occurs, the location of the jam will be displayed on the message display as well as the clearing instructions.
